I didn't know there was a recycling facility on campus. Where are you located?
The Texas State Recycling Center is located at 602 Moore St. near the Glade Theatre. It is on the far west side of campus. See the "Contact Us" link on the left for additional information including phone numbers and a map.
I recycle at home. Can I drop my stuff off at the recycling center?
Yes, but we are strictly university-affiliated so all Texas State students, faculty, and staff are welcome to use our drop-off facilities during hours of operation (M-F, 8 am-5 pm) as long as recycling staff are present.
Is the recycling program the only environmental organization on campus?
No, there are many student organizations that focus around Environmental issues. You can find a list of student organizations on the Texas State University homepage.
Does the recycling center accept all kinds of plastic?
No. The recycling center only accepts plastic items with a base larger than the top. This means plastic bottles or containers. Please dispose of plastic bags, food containers, and plastic wrapping in a proper wastebasket.
