Windows 11 Upgrade Request

Texas State University will block internet access on Windows 10 computers in October 2025. If you are still using Windows 10, your computer will need to be upgraded to Windows 11. To avoid service interruption, TXST Facilities Systems Office will be upgrading all Facilities Department owned Windows 10 computers to Windows 11 prior to December 2024.

  • The upgrade to Windows 11 may take up to 1 business day to complete. We recommend scheduling this during a time you plan to be out of the office.
  • We will meet with you beforehand to backup your bookmarks, Outlook signatures, take inventory of your programs, and install either OneDrive (preferred) or CrashPlan to backup your files (we strongly recommend using one of the mentioned backup programs). This pre-upgrade meeting should take less than 30 minutes of your time.
  • We will also meet with you after the upgrade to install OneDrive or CrashPlan to seamlessly resync your files on your new Windows 11 installation.

Our team will upgrade up to two computers per day. If we have a schedule conflict, we will reach out to reschedule your computer upgrade. Please submit your request to have your computer reimaged by using the button below.

If you do no have access to the submission form, please send an email to FMSystems@txstate.edu with your computer's TAG number.
